“I was drawn to American Clay ecologically because I like to use handsome, natural materials. I soon realized its subtlety and ability to fit into any décor. Most importantly for me, as a first time user who was always intimidated by plastering, I found it extremely easy to apply. As I remodeled my fireplace, I was able to apply thin coats onto a sheetrock-faced surround, and it served as the perfect counterpoint to the rich African Prairie Slate surrounding the firebox. Here, the American Clay offers a beautiful texture against a craggy, natural texture. Although you could do a whole room in the clay, I'd also consider using it as a single accent wall in a room or entry hall.”

It can be re-used by just adding some water. The application process was fun and easy. We organized plaster parties with friends who all very much liked the natural beauty of the plaster. This is an amazing product. I've found that using American Clay products in the North East is surprisingly easy and forgiving. The only thing one might need to be aware of is the ambient temperature when applying the plaster (it tends to be a bit cooler up here).
